Greetings to Alumni and Friends,
This is our first of, what we hope is, many e-mail newsletters. Just to let you know of special updates on health and what is happening at the Emerald Valley Wellness Center. First of all we'd love for you to see our new website, www.emeraldwellness.com and keep checking back for new recipes and news!
All of us here at Emerald Valley wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas (or Hanukkah) and a special blessing of health for the New Year! Do you need to make some New Year's resolutions? Let's talk.
Also, let us hear from you. Successes, updates, frustrations, need encouragement - send us an e-mail. Do you know someone that needs to attend the Live-for-Health wellness program? Let us know, we'll be glad to send a brochure. The DVD is almost done. Yeah!!! We'll send you one as soon as it comes, maybe next month.
Blessings to all from:
Kay Hansen, Doc Hansen, Rebecca, Livi, Ray, Norm, Kathy & Connie, et al. |

Let me tell you about Alan! A delightful, brilliant pastor, dedicated to God's service, so much so he had neglected his own health. Alan and his wife, Cheryl both took hold of the principles of health taught during a recent Live-for-Health program and his improvement was great. Here is his story:
" . . . in the 10 days at Emerald Valley, my cholesterol dropped a further 68 points and my HDL cholesterol went up changing my cholesterol ratio from 9:1 to 4:1 in those same 10 days. I ended up working out twice a day while there and lost almost 15 pounds during that same time period. Most significantly, my wife and I adapted to a new lifestyle which we have refused to give up since coming back home. My last blood pressure reading at Emerald Valley was 120/60 (which I haven’t had since my early 20’s) and it has maintained since coming home.
We are eating a completely different diet and I am now getting up early every morning six days a week and working out for an hour and a half. My wife goes five days a week to Curves and does three circuits of the gym equipment instead of two. We treated this gift from God and you as part of our silver wedding anniversary celebration and, as two people who will turn 50 on our next birthdays, we are determined to be younger next year. This team of caregivers is extremely gifted and spiritually discerning in their application of God’s principles to our health. . . Thank you again for this life changing experience. We expect to have even better reports after six months of this lifestyle. Alan C. – Fairbanks, Alaska
