A graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine; Dr. Hansen’s medical practice spans over three decades and includes medical, preventive, and surgical health care.
As a leader in preventive medicine, Dr. Hansen developed the first live-in
cardiac rehabilitation program using diet and lifestyle modification. He now serves as Medical Director for the Emerald Valley Wellness Clinic and Center.
Dr. Hansen is an FAA certified Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). Pilot physicals are provided in the clinic and in conjunction with the Live-for-Health wellness program.
Currently, Dr. Hansen is a member of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and the Lane County Medical Society. His experience includes having served as adjunct faculty member with the NEWSTART® Reversing Diabetes seminars, Weimar Institute. Physician delegate to the Lane County Health Advisory Committee, Medical Advisor for the Christian Care Medi-Share ministry and Medical Director for the Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital, Wildwood, GA and Poland Spring Health Institute, Poland, ME.
As an author and speaker, Dr. Hansen’s book Get Well At Home, a home health manual is a popular and useful reference of natural remedies. He founded the Journal of Health and Healing. He writes a newspaper column, “Dr. Hansen on Wellness” and a regular column for In-Flight Magazine. He is an appreciated international lecturer on prevention and nutrition.
